Who are we?

Our team is the first in the world to use autonomous vehicles on public roads using end-to-end deep learning, computer vision and reinforcement learning. Leveraging our multi-national world-class research team, we’re focusing on using less data to learn more intelligent algorithms to bring autonomy for everyone, everywhere. We aim to be the future of self-driving cars, not vehicles that are told how to drive through hand-coded rules and maps, but ones which learn from experience and data.

Where you’ll have an impact

We are looking for an experienced engineer who’s lived at the forefront of vehicle platform development. We want you to help us drive the development of the next generation of autonomous vehicles. Within the electrical team you will define and execute our system integration processes. The team owns design, delivery, and integration of electronics modules and wire harnesses. You will be responsible for bring-up, testing, troubleshooting, and debugging of complex, multidisciplinary systems installed onto the vehicle platform. You will also drive process development and improvement for hardware and software integration across the organisation.

What you’ll bring to Wayve

Essential:

  • 3+ years experience integrating and developing complex electrical systems
  • Wide breadth of technical comprehension across electrical, mechanical, and software systems
  • Strong communication skills with hardware, software, program, and manufacturing teams
  • Exceptional troubleshooting skills and ability to solve problems on a multidisciplinary team
  • Masters or Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.

Desirable:

  • Hands on experience assembling and debugging complex hardware and software systems
  • Working with suppliers and CMs for design validation and manufacturing
  • Board level bring-up and system integration
  • Developing and execution of end-of-line testing procedures
  • Automotive or autonomous vehicle industry experience
  • Broad electro-mechanical system understanding
  • High level language comprehension with languages such as Python, C++, Javascript, etc…
  • Linux operating systems
  • Vehicle and computer networking protocols such as ethernet, CAN, A2B, etc…

What we offer you

  • Attractive compensation with salary and equity
  • Immersion in a team of world-class researchers, engineers and entrepreneurs
  • A unique position to shape the future of autonomous driving and tackle the biggest challenge of our time
  • Bespoke learning and development opportunities
  • Relocation support with visa sponsorship
  • Flexible working hours - we trust you to do your job well, at times that suit you and your team
  • Private onsite chef, in-house bar, lots of socials, and more!
