Veev has developed a vertically integrated approach that involves multi-disciplinary collaboration across real estate, design, development, engineering, manufacturing, and construction.

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Manufacturing Manager to oversee the daily operations of our production facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and safe production of high-quality products while meeting production goals, adhering to budgets, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The Manufacturing Manager will lead and manage the production team, ensure compliance with safety standards, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Production Management:
    • Oversee daily manufacturing operations to ensure timely production of goods.
    • Coordinate production schedules and ensure proper allocation of resources to meet deadlines and customer demand.
    • Monitor production performance, troubleshoot issues, and resolve any operational bottlenecks or delays.
  2. Team Leadership:
    • Lead, motivate, and develop the manufacturing team to ensure high performance and professional growth.
    • Provide coaching, training, and support to employees in manufacturing best practices and safety standards.
    • Foster a culture of collaboration, safety, and continuous improvement within the team.
  3. Process Improvement:
    • Implement and drive lean manufacturing principles to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance overall production quality.
    • Analyze manufacturing processes and identify areas for improvement, applying corrective actions as needed.
    • Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and other departments to refine and optimize production workflows.
  4. Quality Control & Compliance:
    • Ensure adherence to quality control standards and regulatory requirements throughout the production process.
    • Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with safety protocols and industry regulations.
    • Work with the Quality Assurance team to address and resolve any product defects or quality issues.
  5. Resource Management:
    • Manage inventory, equipment, and materials to ensure adequate supply for production schedules.
    • Monitor equipment performance and coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure machines are properly maintained and functional.
    • Oversee the efficient use of materials to meet production goals while minimizing waste and costs.
  6. Budget & Cost Control:
    • Develop and manage production budgets, ensuring cost-effective operations without compromising on quality.
    • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to production efficiency, cost, quality, and safety.
  7. Reporting & Documentation:
    • Maintain accurate production records and generate regular reports on production status, output, and efficiency.
    • Communicate performance metrics and project status to senior management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field (or equivalent to 10 years of experience).
  • 10 years of experience in a manufacturing management role, with a proven track record of managing production teams and achieving production goals.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control standards, and safety regulations.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficient in using manufacturing software and tools (e.g., ERP systems).

Preferred:

  • Experience in automotive, electronics, consumer goods.
  • Certification in Lean or Six Sigma.

Working Conditions:

  • Full-time position.
  • The role may require occasional travel or extended hours depending on production schedules and deadlines.
  • The work environment includes regular exposure to a manufacturing floor, with the necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) provided.

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on skills, education, experience, and location is $120,000-$160,000 annually for Hayward, CA and surrounding areas.
