As we continue to expand operations, Veev’s field construction division is seeking an exceptional Residential Construction Project Manager specializing in closing out projects to ensure all Veev home closeout processes are managed and met for on time deliveries . Job Responsibilities

In this role, the applicant will need to juggle various types of challenges, while demonstrating the ability to be multi disciplinary and flexible while thinking and acting with a sense of ownership and urgency.


  • Study and learn our unique field processes - from raw land, through site development, foundation, assembly and closeouts, all the way to finished home in order to successfully execute our single family home projects..
  • Be the POC, monitor and manage the closeout processes from A to Z, including local utilities, C&D and recycling requirements, AHJ inspections, documentation required for closeouts.
  • Maintain and publish the closeout schedules for the different projects.
  • Generate reports to leadership.
  • Manage and track resolution to all issues in path to closeout.
  • Manage and ensure completion of all punch list items in the projects including generating, managing resources and performing final QC inspections for the homes.
  • Receive Certificate Of Occupancy and final inspection sign offs for the different projects.
  • Create, steward, drive project schedules, solving critical paths and communicating roadblocks and capable to influencing and resolving site issues
  • Manage subcontractors effectively, efficiently and safety
  • Successfully manage complex contracted and self performed construction projects.
  • Communicate effectively with both on-site technicians/tradespeople, and remote Engineering, Real Estate teams and Executives.
  • Work with Engineering teams to resolve design roadblocks strategically
  • Schedule and lead quality control and all necessary inspections such as with city, subcontractors and Fire Marshalls.
  • Travel between various job sites, the factory, and various vendors, as required
  • Work independently with minimal oversight or guidance.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Extensive experience in residential project management - minimum of 7 years.
  • Proven experience in working with the different AHJs, utility entities and the different stakeholders key to the Certificate of Occupancy phase of the projects - minimum of 5 years.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Building Science, Architecture, Business Administration or relevant major preferred.
  • Willingness to travel across projects and municipalities to achieve goals and KPIs.
  • Full understanding and proficiency in the inspections schedule of a single family home across the different AHJs
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record

Compensation

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on skills, education, experience, and location is $120,000-$150,00 annually for Hayward, CA and surrounding areas.
