The Role

As a Manufacturing Engineer at Veev, you will be instrumental in optimizing our manufacturing processes to ensure efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives and support the development and launch of new products. This role offers an exciting opportunity to apply your technical expertise and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Process Optimization: Analyze existing manufacturing processes and workflows to identify areas for improvement in efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
  • New Product Introduction: Collaborate with product development teams to ensure manufacturability of new products, including design for manufacturability (DFM) reviews and process validation.
  • Continuous Improvement: Lead and support continuous improvement projects using Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to drive operational excellence.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement quality control measures and ensure compliance with regulatory standards to maintain product quality and reliability.
  • Manufacturing Support: Provide technical support to production teams, troubleshoot issues on the shop floor, and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime and optimize production output.
  • Documentation: Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation, including work instructions, process flow diagrams, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Cost Analysis: Conduct cost analysis studies to identify opportunities for cost reduction while maintaining product integrity and quality.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, procurement, and supply chain teams to streamline processes, resolve technical issues, and support supplier development activities.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering with a strong understanding of production processes and equipment.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD), ERP systems, and manufacturing process simulation tools (e.g., MATLAB, Simulink).
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify root causes of issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Project Management: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Continuous Improvement: Certification in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or equivalent is desirable.
  • Adaptability: Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and business needs.

Compensation

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on skills, education, experience, and location is $120,000 - $135,000 annually for Hayward, CA and surrounding areas.
