YOUR MISSION
As a T&E Engineer with True Anomaly, your work will directly contribute to the success of our missions. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our space vehicles can withstand the rigors of space and perform as expected in various space environments, from low Earth orbit (LEO) to geostationary orbit (GEO) and beyond. Your efforts in testing and validating on the ground with a state-of-the-art space vehicle factory and on orbit will help maintain national and global security in the space domain.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead True Anomaly's testing and evaluation initiatives
- Craft practical test and evaluation plans from new space strategies, engineering insights, and operational requirements
- Employ mathematical tools for rigorous and effective test and evaluation
- Distill test findings into clear observations and actionable recommendations
- Engage in the creation and refinement of True Anomaly mission documentation
- Generate and revise testing documentation, including test cards, resource plans, test injects, and space vehicle coding
- Perform mission readiness evaluations to bolster test events and critical milestones
- Enhance test planning through simulation of space vehicle software and hardware
- Orchestrate data collection efforts in collaboration with software, hardware, and operations teams
- Utilize modeling to forecast space vehicle performance limits to inform and optimize future missions
- Oversee and enhance the True Anomaly data analytics tools suite
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Research, or Engineering
- Over 10 years of experience in test or analysis roles, space test experience preferred
- Applied statistics, test and evaluation, modeling, and test scripting language proficiency
- Adaptability to rapidly changing tasks and responsibilities inherent in a dynamic startup environment
- Exceptional data analysis skills, adept at leveraging complex telemetry data.
- Specialization in space operations.
- Active TS/SCI clearance.
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Master’s Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Research, or Engineering.
- Testing & Evaluation certifications, including space testing, DoD qualifications, and academic achievements
- Experience with DoD clients in the space industry
- Familiarity with astrodynamics and physics-based modeling
- Proficiency in Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) and Software-in-the-Loop (SIL) operational testing
- Competence with scripting languages, cloud usage, databases, and version control
- Expertise in utilizing operations research to turn organizational needs into practical analyses, experimental designs, and simulations
COMPENSATION
- Base Salary: $158,000-$210,000
- Equity + Benefits including Health, Dental, Vision, HRA/HSA options, PTO and paid holidays, 401K, Parental Leave
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Work Location—Successful candidates will be located near Colorado Springs, CO. While we observe a hybrid work environment, some work must be done on site.
