YOUR MISSION
As an Electrical Hardware Engineer at True Anomaly, you will be responsible for leading the design, development, and testing of electrical components across our ground and space hardware. You will work closely with a team of engineers and technicians to ensure the highest level of quality, reliability, and performance of our spacecraft.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop, rework, and test PCBAs for use in True Anomaly space and ground hardware.
- Assist in the design and manufacturing of space flight harness assemblies
- Ensure that all PCBAs and harness assemblies meet the technical and performance requirements of the mission.
- Collaborate with our engineering team to develop and refine designs to optimize performance, manufacturability, and cost.
- Support development of assembly and test processes to ensure the quality and reliability of the PCBAs and harness assemblies.
- Troubleshoot and debug PCBAs to identify and resolve any issues during the manufacturing and testing process.
- Support development of technical documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and test reports.
- Support the transition of PCBA designs and harnesses into high volume production.
- Read, follow, and execute shop orders, hardware and test anomaly reports.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 2 years of experience in electrical technician work for PCBAs and harnesses
- Demonstrated experience with electrical hardware design and testing
- In addition to standard solder irons, workers use various other production equipment including strippers, crimpers, hot plates, etc.
- Strong understanding of applicable codes and standards
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- +4 years experience in the PCBA process, as well as related system assembly experience working in the aerospace or defense industry
- Familiarity with MIL-STD-883 and NASA-STD-8739.4a standards ·
- Familiarity with assembly processes, including surface mount technology (SMT) and through-hole technology (THT), fine pitch BGA, and a working knowledge of design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for assembly (DFA) principles.
- Familiarity with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and logic analyzers.
- NASA J-STD Space Addendum or IPC soldering certifications
COMPENSATION
- Base Salary: $100,000-$140,000

- Work Location—this role is onsite at our factory in Centennial, CO
- Work environment—the work environment; temperature, noise level, inside or outside, or other factors that will affect the person's working conditions while performing the job.
