YOUR MISSION
As the Head of Strategic Finance, you will play a pivotal role in building and leading the Finance function. Your primary focus will revolve around driving business strategy, building comprehensive financial plans, including budgets and our long-term strategic plan. You will play a key role in developing and managing our operating cadence, supporting materials for our Board of Directors, fundraising efforts, and corporate development activities.
In this role, you will be a highly trusted partner and serve as a key stakeholder in defining how we grow and operate our business. You will work cross-functionally and be instrumental in enabling effective decision making through your analysis. The role reports directly into the CFO.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead our Strategic Finance and FP&A initiatives, driving both financial and operational plans and performance while supporting significant capital and strategic investment decisions
- Own the planning and reporting lifecycle; build an operating cadence that establishes where we’re going, how we’ll get there, and provides the insights into whether we’re on or off track
- Implement new processes, tools, and systems to improve forecasting and reporting with an eye towards scale, efficiency, and transparency
- Responsible for overall financial infrastructure and health of financial data and systems
- Work cross-functionally on workforce planning, payroll forecasting, and reporting
- Establish key business drivers and performance indicators in order to provide insightful reporting to support decision making
- Support in the presentation of our financials to our executive team and Board of Directors and provide the requisite insights to drive operational and financial excellence
- Support capital markets activities and other external relations, as applicable
- Scope, build, and lead a highly efficient and effective team
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or another related discipline
- 8+ years of experience in Finance in a leadership capacity in a fast-paced, dynamic organization
- Strategic and operational mindset coupled with strong financial depth
- Demonstrated ability to drive cross-functional change management and organizational alignment
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills; you can communicate effectively to diverse audiences and be influential in your work
- Comfortable with self-driven prioritization and the ability to wear multiple hats. Solid interpersonal skills and work ethic
- Financial modeling, analysis and reporting skills

- Work Location— We observe a hybrid work environment, but the Company is headquartered in Denver, CO. Being local to the area is preferred, but not required.
