YOUR MISSION

As the Corporate Controller for True Anomaly, you will be responsible for growing and leading the Accounting function and owning all aspects of financial reporting, internal controls, tax, compliance, regulatory, treasury, and accounting operations. You will report directly into the CFO and have a high-impact role in building and scaling a world-class organization and business.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide leadership and strategic direction for Accounting; build a high-performing and impactful team
  • Own the month-end close process and prepare timely and accurate financial reporting
  • Establish and implement accounting policies and procedures in accordance with GAAP and other government-related regulations, contracts, and agreements
  • Oversee the preparation and communication of monthly and annual financial reporting; partner with the Finance team to analyze monthly operating results against budget
  • Upgrade and monitor internal controls, audit compliance, and financial procedures. Implement best practices as it relates to processes and systems
  • Spearhead the transition to an ERP, including evaluating and selecting an ERP and driving implementation with effective stakeholder management
  • Oversee and direct treasury, cash management, payroll, audit, tax, compliance, etc.
  • Manage financials for Cost Accounting Standards (CAS)-covered contracts, provide certified cost or pricing data, ensure proper segregation of costs for indirect rate development, develop forward pricing rates to support forward pricing rate agreements, etc.
  • Serve as business partner to all functions on accounting-related matters
  • Once applicable, manage the annual audit

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance, 10+ years of experience
  • CPA designation
  • Experience as a Corporate Controller or in a similar leadership role, preferably within a startup or a fast-paced, dynamic organization
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, government contract accounting, FAR accounting standards and DCAA compliance
  • Analytical and with exceptional problem-solving skills and a strong attention to detail. Excellent communication and presentation abilities, capable of conveying complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders
  • Experience in hiring and directly managing a team
  • Systems implementation experience preferred

  • Work Location— We observe a hybrid work environment, but the Company is headquartered in Denver, CO. Being local to the area is preferred, but not required.
