Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive supplier strategies that align with organizational goals and product roadmaps.
  • Manage supplier partnerships to ensure timely delivery, product quality, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between [Company Name] and key suppliers.
  • Identify, vet, and onboard new suppliers, while nurturing long-term relationships with existing partners.
  • Work closely with engineering, procurement, and quality teams to ensure suppliers meet stringent quality requirements.
  • Lead cross-functional teams in evaluating supplier performance and conducting quarterly reviews.
  • Negotiate contracts, SLAs, and other agreements to secure advantageous terms.
  • Drive sustainability initiatives among supplier networks in alignment with corporate values.
  • Analyze market trends to identify opportunities and threats and adapt supplier strategies accordingly.
  • Collaborate with finance to manage supplier budgets and ensure cost-saving measures are in place.
  • Implement or build Quality Management Systems (QMS) to enhance supplier quality and compliance.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field. MBA preferred.
  • Minimum 8-10 years experience in supplier management or supply chain roles.
  • Proven track record of managing complex supplier relationships in a technical industry.
  • Exceptional negotiation skills.
  • Ability to understand and interpret technical specifications and blueprints.
  • Proficient in supply chain management software and tools.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and multitasking skills.
  • Experience in implementing or building Quality Management Systems (QMS) is required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel, domestically and internationally, as needed.
