Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive supplier strategies that align with organizational goals and product roadmaps.
- Manage supplier partnerships to ensure timely delivery, product quality, and cost-effectiveness.
- Serve as the primary liaison between [Company Name] and key suppliers.
- Identify, vet, and onboard new suppliers, while nurturing long-term relationships with existing partners.
- Work closely with engineering, procurement, and quality teams to ensure suppliers meet stringent quality requirements.
- Lead cross-functional teams in evaluating supplier performance and conducting quarterly reviews.
- Negotiate contracts, SLAs, and other agreements to secure advantageous terms.
- Drive sustainability initiatives among supplier networks in alignment with corporate values.
- Analyze market trends to identify opportunities and threats and adapt supplier strategies accordingly.
- Collaborate with finance to manage supplier budgets and ensure cost-saving measures are in place.
- Implement or build Quality Management Systems (QMS) to enhance supplier quality and compliance.
Experience & Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field. MBA preferred.
- Minimum 8-10 years experience in supplier management or supply chain roles.
- Proven track record of managing complex supplier relationships in a technical industry.
- Exceptional negotiation skills.
- Ability to understand and interpret technical specifications and blueprints.
- Proficient in supply chain management software and tools.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and multitasking skills.
- Experience in implementing or building Quality Management Systems (QMS) is required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Willingness to travel, domestically and internationally, as needed.
