As the Accounting Manager at Reliable Robotics, you will report to the Head of Business Operations. You will take ownership of a wide breadth of accounting responsibilities to build the processes and standards that will guide Reliable into the future. You'll work with stakeholders across the company and executive team, using your experience to help set direction for our financial governance.
In your role as Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for all accounting functions within the company. You will establish and implement policies, perform financial risk assessments, and prepare annual budgets & forecasts. Working with outside parties, you will manage audits, income tax returns, and R&D tax credits.

  • Lead and direct the monthly, quarterly, and year end close, account reconciliations & G/L analysis
  • Prepare monthly statements and package for senior executive team and Board of Directors - Income, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, with thorough understanding of variance to forecast
  • Manage a/p, a/r, contract management, and approval flows
  • Maintain semi-monthly payroll processing
  • Monthly invoice reconciliations for benefits, COBRA, 401(k), insurance, etc
  • Credit card and expense reimbursement program management
  • Coordinate tax filing requirements: federal, state, and employment/payroll withholding accounts per state
  • Coordinate annual property tax return preparation and filing with tax accountant

Basic Success Criteria

  • BA or advanced degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics
  • CPA certification and skilled in US GAAP
  • Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations
  • Manufacturing experience
  • 2 years public accounting experience

Preferred Criteria

  • 5 years progressive experience in Accounting roles
  • Hiring and management experience
  • Early stage startup experience
Reliable is a growing startup with immediate needs for financial and accounting coordination and forecasting. In this role, you'll be critical to developing those solutions, laying the groundwork for future expansion of the financial team. You'll engage directly across the company without boundaries and have visibility straight up to the CEO.
This role is located in Mountain View, CA.
The estimated salary range for this position is $123,500 to $178,500. At Reliable Robotics, we strive to provide competitive and rewarding compensation based on experience and expertise, as well as market conditions, location, and pay equity.
In addition to base compensation, Reliable Robotics offers stock options, employee medical, 401k contribution, great co-workers and a casual work environment.
