Are you a curious, detail-oriented person who loves shipping polished products? We are seeking a Product Assurance Engineer to work on a multi-disciplinary team to assure that Oxide ships the highest quality product to our customers.

As a Product Assurance Engineer working at Oxide, you will:

  • Collaborate with varying internal and external stakeholders to assure that we deliver a product that meets our customers' needs and expectations.

  • Be the first consumer of every product release - kick the tires by exercising common customer use cases, gathering performance metrics, and operating the rack like a customer would.

  • Contribute to CI/CD and test infrastructure projects to help improve automated test reliability and turnaround time.

  • Refine quality and release processes with Program Management and Engineering to assure that we continue to deliver a product that improves with every iteration.

  • Contribute to other areas of the product that interest you–beyond your day-to-day product assurance duties.

These responsibilities are just a starting place! We’re a small company, we don’t have rigid roles, and we have a lot to do – we can help you grow wherever your interests take you.

You will thrive in this role if you:

  • Have a strong background in DevOps or SRE, and working knowledge of distributed systems and multi-tier application deployment.

  • Have hands-on experience with software development, CI/CD pipeline, and test automation.

  • Have previously worked with complex deliverables involving multiple teams.

  • Drive clear communication within engineering teams and between engineering teams and the rest of the company.

  • Are energized by the thought of operating between traditional roles and silos.

  • Value the written word and can concisely communicate in written form.

  • Get excited about a wide range of technical topics and dig really deeply into them.

If you don’t meet 100% of these qualifications you should still seriously consider applying – at least one of us was missing each of these at the outset!
