•Ensures compliance for therapeutic radiopharmaceutical production manufacturing work.
•Assists with training for team members who utilize and/or work in areas where radioactive materials are present.
•Performing routine audits, inspections, and surveys of buildings and equipment to ensure adherence to safety standards and regulatory requirements.
• Assists the RSO by contributing to risk assessments and hazard analyses for radiation use and provide recommendations for risk mitigation.
• Managing employee exposure monitoring program, including issuance and collection of radiation dosimeters, and review and distribution of exposure reports.
• Maintaining accurate records of all radioactive materials, including their procurement, use, storage, and disposal. This includes performing semi-annual leak tests and inventories.
• Maintaining Public Dose documentation.
• Facilitating the waste program for all radioactive materials generated on-site.
• Overseeing shipments of Radioactive Materials and RAM package check-ins.
• Assists in investigations of incidents, accidents, and radiation exposure events exceeding company limits.
• Assisting the RSO by contributing to all regulatory and company required reports in a timely manner.
• Maintaining all records in accordance with regulatory and Nucleus RadioPharma requirements.
• Overseeing the calibration of radiation survey instruments.
SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES – Environmental Health and Safety (EHS):
•Supporting Corporate EHS Leader and site RSO with management of Environmental, Health and Safety programs, ensuring compliance with federal, state and local regulations.
• Supporting the Corporate EHS Leader with the site industrial hygiene and chemical management program.
• Contributing to the Management of Change (MoC) process, conducting project safety reviews, evaluating new equipment, overseeing contractors and other tasks.
• Conducting EHS inspections and participating in incident investigations, root cause analyses and implementation of corrective actions.
• Key role in onsite emergency response and safety committees.
• Conducting EHS Awareness Training Sessions for new employees to raise awareness and promote a positive safety culture.
• May be required to perform other EHS related duties and tasks as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
•Bachelor’s degree in health physics, environmental health and safety or related field or applicable work experience required.
•Strong knowledge in State/Federal Radiation and EHS regulations and standards required.
•Proficiency in radiation detection and measurement instruments preferred.
•3 years of relevant experience radiation safety, health physics, environmental health and safety or related experience required.
•DOT/IATA experience, certification preferred.
•First Aid/CPR/AED certified preferred.
•Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required.
•Demonstrated problem solving skills.
•Proficient communication and organizational skills.

•Extended hours and weekend work may be required occasionally.
•Mechanical aptitude required; manual dexterity for manipulating small items; ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and to handle frequent crawling, stooping, crouching, and kneeling.
THE FINE PRINT:
The salary range in Minnesota is $75,000 to $95,000 per year. Please note that compensation may vary outside of this range depending on several factors, including but not limited to a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, experience, and location.
Benefit packages for this role include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as a Health Savings Account or Flexible Spending Account options (depending on the plan chosen), and 401k retirement account access with employer matching.
