About Mytra

At Mytra, we’re creating an entirely new way to solve the most ubiquitous problem in industry - moving and storing material. We’re applying robotics and distributed software to create a new class of product for this $1T global market. We’re focused on the supply chain industry first. The industry is in a massive bind with the continued growth of e-commerce, sharp rise in costs, labor shortages, and supply chain disruptions. What has been a “sleepy” industry for decades is now at the epicenter of sustaining the global economy.

Role Overview

Do you enjoy tackling the most cross-disciplinary parts of a complex program? Do you love solving business-critical problems with a high degree of ownership and the freedom to make it happen? As a Systems Engineer at Mytra, you will work closely and cross-functionally with experienced engineering leaders and have the opportunity to learn and contribute to the design, integration, and optimization of cutting-edge autonomous warehouse robotics.

What You’ll Do

  • Drive system and subsystem architecture, requirement, and specification definition, decomposition, and traceability of cross-functional hardware, software and product capabilities.
  • Establish release standards and test & validation processes, working collaboratively with engineers and field operations teams to ensure systems operate as intended.
  • Develop frameworks and facilitate trade studies to optimize for performance and cost across various subsystems.
  • Drive inter-disciplinary system reviews ensuring that products are built to spec and built right, the first time.
  • Design fault trees and other mathematical models for quantitative risk analysis.
  • Collaborate with core engineering disciplines, including mechanical, electrical, structural, robotics, software, and AI to ensure system-level integration success.
  • Support defining criteria for internal and external metrics, performance & safety guidelines.
  • Support design decisions, tradeoffs and compliance of safety-critical systems, regulations and standards.

What Makes You a Strong Fit

  • 5+ years experience as a Systems Engineer for complex or safety-critical cross-discipline systems
  • Demonstrated ability to independently solve complex multidisciplinary problems.
  • Proven success in implementing program requirements, including processes, definition, decomposition, and verification.
  • Experience working with systems resilient to extreme climatic conditions, mechanical vibrations, and high electrical noise environments.
  • Experience in developing fail-safe fault-tolerant modes as well as fail-operative modes that ensure system functionality continues despite faults.
  • Proficiency in leveraging various tools for systems modeling and statistical analysis to effectively address and solve problems.
  • An acute attention to both thinking broadly and through the details
  • Experience with data-driven modeling and analysis techniques
  • B.S. or higher degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical, Systems Engineering, or other relevant disciplines or equivalent experience

A Final Note

You’re encouraged to apply even if you can’t take on every example project in its totality. We work closely and collaboratively at Mytra - No one takes on projects alone. We seek people who are eager to work together, learn new things, and bring unique perspectives.
