Role Overview

This role is part of External Operations and reports into the Director of External Operations. Mytra’s External Operations team is looking for foundational members to lead system deployments and beyond while helping establish processes to scale fast and ensure quality for our customers. Our team’s mission is to own system deployments for Mytra customers and create enthusiastic users of our systems. The External Operations organization is the connective tissue between internal Mytra functions and the end user. We make sure the product is correctly commissioned at our customer sites and the end users not only know how to use the system, but are using it in the best possible way to reap the most benefit for their organization. As a Sr. Field Sustaining Engineer you’ll collaborate closely with solutions, design, engineering and internal operations teams, as well as, engage external vendors and customers on a regular basis.

Things you'll be doing

  • Lead warehouse automation deployments from beginning to end, supporting solutions and design teams in pre-contract interactions to final post-commissioning handoff and maintenance/support standup
  • Manage metrics and reporting for customer implementations flagging issues and opportunities to optimize
  • Leverage experience and best practices to support creation of a deployment playbook to facilitate future customer implementations
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives - develop processes and benchmarking strategies for tracking and implementing change
  • Support relationship and stakeholder management across vendors and customers
  • Work cross-functionally to leverage external resources to meet our goals and support customer KPIs
  • Train a small team in your craft to support parallel deployments

Qualifications

  • You have relevant education - ideally BS and/or MS in Industrial Engineering, Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, Manufacturing Engineering
  • You’ve led multiple warehouse automation projects in the past, ideally across various applications (companies, industries. use cases etc.)
  • You have experience building and managing timelines and corresponding budgets
  • You are excited to take on new challenges, learn quickly then teach others
  • You take initiative and have keen attention to detail, organization and time management skills
  • You are a strong communicator and are able to have crucial conversations as needed internal and external to the organization to get things done
  • You’re comfortable managing technical and business stakeholders alike

Location

  • Travel required. Percentage will vary throughout the year and correspond to key phases in deployment and customer engagements at HQ or at customer sites across the US.
