About Mytra

We’re creating an entirely new way to solve the most ubiquitous problem in industry - moving and storing material. We’re applying robotics and distributed software to create a new class of product for this $1T market. We’re focused on the supply chain industry first. The industry is in a massive bind with the continued growth of e-commerce, sharp rise in costs, and supply chain disruptions. What has been a “sleepy” industry for decades is now at the epicenter of sustaining the global economy.

Mytra’s Systems Integration and Test team is looking for a passionate, mechatronics-oriented engineer to test and validate prototype robotics systems.

As a mechatronics test engineer, you will architect, prototype, and integrate mechatronics solutions to evaluate system function and performance. You will work hands-on with robotics hardware, including actuators, motor controllers, sensors, and PCBAs, and in close collaboration with mechanical, electrical, and firmware engineers.

Things you'll do

  • Start-to-finish validation of a sensor, actuator, or other component. Design, develop, and integrate system-level and sub-assembly-level tests to find the limits of Mytra’s hardware.
  • Create scalable turn-key manufacturing test stations to characterize, and calibrate hardware on the line.
  • Perform full-stack debug of devices under test. Query logs, interpret sensor data, inspect hardware, and effectively collaborate with specialist engineers on domain-specific deep dives.
  • Develop and own a long-term test roadmap. Manage and prioritize projects based on your understanding of Mytra’s system design, assessments of failure risk, and company goals.
  • Contribute to Mytra’s software infrastructure for hardware testing with software feature additions and bug fixes.

Qualification

  • At least 4 years of experience with testing complex mechatronics systems.
  • General knowledge of core robotics technologies, such as actuation, communications, sensing and complex wiring.
  • Can confidently program in a scripting environment (Python preferred) to develop test automation and data analysis.
  • Strong hands-on aptitude, with the ability to physically build, debug, and rework electro-mechanical systems.
  • Ability to perform small scope electro-mechanical design work to create fixtures, sensor setups, test environments, and other prototype devices.
  • Is excited about working on an immature project, growing together, and shaping the future of the company.
  • Uncertainty isn’t scary, and you’re willing to realize mistakes and pivot.
  • You can convey complex ideas and technical concepts to a diverse audience.
  • Openness, inquisitiveness, and constant ambition are important values.
