Your Responsibilities
As Integration and Test Engineer, you will join a cross-disciplinary engineering team who ensure that our multi-robot automation system exceeds our customers’ expectations. Once engineers complete component level design verification, you will work closely with both hardware and software teams to integrate discrete pieces so that they come together into a single, robust, beautifully orchestrated system. The role can leverage a wide breadth of engineering skills including data analysis, motor control, root cause analysis, mechanical/software/electrical engineering, and throughput modeling. To succeed in this role, you need to have a broad range of engineering acumen to root out causes of inoperability and propose effective solutions for our complex automation system.
In this role you will:
Oversee the transition of a series of unit-level machines into an integrated system with appropriate system controls
- Become an advanced used of our automation control system, including low-level super-user tools
- Identify and track key system performance indicators to help engineering prioritize high-impact changes
- Champion equipment “bring-up”, validation and verification activities prior to hand-off to customer ownership. Develop new hardware bring-up processes used for both NPI as well as site deployments
- Build comprehensive checklists and procedures to verify equipment functionality after build
- Design and implement accelerated tests to identify product weaknesses before they are experienced by our customers
- Lead system level tests with support from engineers and store operations
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, robot, or industrial engineering or equivalent
- Excited to travel - while most of the work will be based in our Mountain View facility, the launch of a customer site may mean some months will be 75% remote
- Experience designing experiments and analyzing data
- Programming competency within common languages used for data analysis (SQL, Python, etc.)
- Experience working with hardware such as motors, sensors, and actuators
- Hands on aptitude – able to dive in and troubleshoot a variety of system issues across multiple engineering disciplines

- The salary range for this position is $85,000-$105,000 plus stock and benefits. Pay within the range is based on candidate experience, job-specific skills, education, and work location.
