Who we are looking for
We are looking for a passionate and dynamic R&D Mechanical Engineer, with a hands-on approach, to join our R&D team.
The role involves the development and testing of new and existing surgery instruments for robotics eye surgery.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop core company’s products with the ability to create fast iteration, and rapid prototyping and lead to mass production.
- Lead the product development life cycle from concept to feasibility, risk analysis, prototyping, design, implementation and validation of systems or components.
- Test prototypes and develop agile testing methodologies to ensure the highest standards of quality.
- Manage supplier relationships and collaborate to ensure timely production processes and high-quality component deliveries, and cost structure.
- Write and review R&D documentation including requirements, test protocols, analysis of test results and report generation for continuous learning and improvements.
- Lead engineering changes and continuously improve our product designs.
Requirements
- Brilliant mechanical engineer with at least 7+ years of experience in mechanical design.
- Experience in design for injection molded plastics and mass production processes.
- Experience in DFM (Design for Manufacturing) - an advantage.
- Experience in the medical device field.
- At least 5 years of experience with SolidWorks.
- Experience with PLMs and ECOs.
