We are looking for a highly professional and skilled Senior Bookkeeper, who will report to the company’s CFO. The Senior Bookkeeper will have full responsibility for the company’s accounting activities, including monthly internal and external reporting, budget tracking, managing invoice entering and payment process, and ensuring compliance with all government related reporting (i.e. Tax, VAT, etc.). The ideal candidate will be highly organized, able to work independently, possess strong analytical skills, and have a deep understanding of accounting principles.

This role demands a detail-oriented and proactive professional who thrives in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Full responsibility for all accounting activities, including internal and external reporting requirements.
  • Responsibility for account payables including invoice entry and management of payment process in a timely manner.
  • Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy in financial records.
  • Streamline accounting processes and introduce cost-reduction measures.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
  • Track and manage the company’s budget within the ERP system.
  • Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual closings.
  • Ensure compliance with all accounting standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate with the CFO to develop financial strategies and long-term planning.
  • Handle tax-related and annual filings, and coordinate with external auditors.
  • Maintain and improve internal controls and accounting procedures.
  • Collaborate with other departments to resolve financial discrepancies and ensure accurate reporting.
  • Provide financial analysis and support to other departments, as needed.
  • Stay updated with the latest accounting software and technology trends.

Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years of experience as a senior Bookkeeper or a similar role in the hi-tech industry.
  • Previous experience in a publicly traded company is an advantage.
  • Previous experience as a Salary Controller or Certified payroll accountant an advantage.
  • Certified bookkeeper (Level 3).
  • Proficient in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g. Priority).
  • Experience with tax compliance (including VAT, Nikuim, Odfot, etc.).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently.
  • Experience with filing and reporting to the Israel Innovation Authority.
  • Strong attention to details and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
