We are looking for a candidate with the ability to thrive in an environment with complex software and hardware designs, who will be responsible for testing the performance and functionality of a novel ophthalmic robotic platform. You will join a growing team and take part in the group that is responsible for verification and validation processes. Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and execute verification and validation tests (SW, HW, mechanics, environmental, and RA) of a complex multidisciplinary systems
  • Establish clear traceability between requirements and test procedures
  • Document verification and validation test results in test reports
  • Defect reporting, tracking, and analysis
  • Maintaining V&V activities
  • Work with R&D and Engineering to design and build test fixtures
  • Write and review test protocols and reports and recommend improvements
  • Supporting system engineering activities, such as integration and requirements reviewing
  • Collaborate with members of the R&D team

Qualifications

  • Degree in Biomedical, Mechanical, Electrical, or other relevant engineering degrees
  • 5+ years of experience as a V&V Engineer
  • Experience with medical device regulations and standards
  • Experience with technologically complex multidisciplinary systems including HW and SW experience at multi-disciplinary medical device companies
  • Strong knowledge of software and hardware test methodologies
  • Experience in working with test instruments, such as Oscilloscope, Current Probe, DVM, Power Supply, etc.
  • Experience with the environmental, safety, reliability, biocompatibility, sterilization, and essential performance tests (e.g. IEC 60601-1)
  • Good analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
  • Good organizational skills and strong written and verbal communication in English
  • Good documentation skills and ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to self-manage, and communicate effectively
