Basic Job Functions
The Junior FP&A Analyst will support the Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team in various financial activities, including budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and performance analysis. Prepares & reviews management reports for cost center leaders. Supports functional leader with quantitative analysis to drive operational goals. Assists & leads activities in the financial planning processes to deliver the desired organizational rollup.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
The Junior FP&A Analyst will support the Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team in various financial activities, including budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and performance analysis. Prepares & reviews management reports for cost center leaders. Supports functional leader with quantitative analysis to drive operational goals. Assists & leads activities in the financial planning processes to deliver the desired organizational rollup.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
- Gather and consolidate financial data from various department
- Analyze financial reports timely & accurately and summarize for management review
- Analyze the variances of monthly business performance and support the key business stakeholders on an action plan to achieve positive changes to the operational metric.
- Work with business partner and accounting to communicate potential opportunities and analyses to further drive business results.
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts
- Support the month-end and year-end close processes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather relevant data and insights
- Participate in special projects and ad-hoc analysis as required
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
- 1-3 years of experience in financial analysis, budgeting, or a related role
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Familiarity with D365 ERP systems is a plus
