Job Description

  • Advising the management on EHS issues as well as developing EHS policies and procedures
  • Monitoring and controlling EHS and compliance in the organization as per the law and organization's policy.
  • Coordinates the monitoring of workplace and acts as a liaison to appropriate regulatory agencies or certification bodies. Maintain the EHS related licenses/Permits.
  • Carrying out EHS inspections and internal audits and reporting to management with suggestions
  • Ensure preventive measures, administrative control and personal protective equipment are implemented and used.
  • Establish and manage the fire safety programs, ERT.
  • Investigate and report accidents and near misses.
  • Waste management which include waste inventory, disposal, tracking, records keeping per DOE requirement.
  • Record keeping of all EHS events, training and drills.
  • Responsible for the recognition, evaluation, and control of EHS factors and stresses arising in or from the workplace.
  • Establish and maintain EHS related SOP and procedure.

Requirement

  • Requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience in EH&S and knowledge of related regulations, codes, and guidelines.
  • Requires a minimum of 3-4 years of experience in EH&S or related position.
  • Prior experience in EH&S within a manufacturing environment. Experience in new factory start up preferred.
  • Good Education of Environmental health and safety
  • Working knowledge of emergency and safety procedures
  • Working knowledge of laws and regulations related to the environment and workplace health and safety.
  • Working knowledge in ISO14001 and ISO45001 is an advantage.
  • Competence in CePSWaM or CePBFO is an advantage.
