This is an exciting time at Enovix! We are looking for experienced candidates to help support our new lithium-ion battery production facility in Penang, Malaysia for commercialization of our 3D Silicon™ Lithium-ion Rechargeable Battery.

Job Summary

As a General Ledger Accountant, you will be an important contributor for the financial operations of our rapidly growing company, including providing accounting shared service to other countries. This position reports to the General Ledger Manager. You will be responsible for maintaining general ledger entries, reconciliation of financial statements, manage employee payroll administration and accounting, RSU scheme for tax reporting, support internal and external audit. You must be a hands-on, roll up your sleeves type of person and should enjoy a fast-paced, start-up environment. The position requires strong accounting knowledge and the ability to understand the big picture while being detail oriented.

Responsibilities

  • Support monthly and quarter end close activities including prepare month ended journal entries and monthly reconciliation of Balance Sheet Accounts to meet Month End Close timeline (Balance Sheet).
  • Assist in preparation of financial statement and report for local reporting regulations (MIDA, BNM survey and etc).
  • Ensure internal control compliance and assist with various aspects of internal and external audits, including preparation of audit schedules and reviewing outstanding items.
  • Ensure proper document retention that satisfies both legal and SOX requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards (US GAAP or MFRS)
  • Support withholding tax and other relevant tax reporting ensure timely submission to avoid penalty.
  • Assist and liaise with tax agent in company tax computation.
  • Liaise with US Stock Administrator to ensure accuracy of RSU reported for each Malaysia employee for income tax declaration based on vested date and reported accurately in employee monthly pay slip for the month.
  • Preparation and recording of all payrolls related computation including detail verification of payroll and monthly accruals including DL and IDL OT, Allowance, bonus, holiday pay, EPF, SOCSO, etc
  • Files payroll taxes and reports, and maintains all payroll related records and deductions
  • Verify & audit payroll file from HR, validate Payroll Reports generated by 3rd party.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness in pay slips and EA forms issued to Malaysia employees.
  • Assist company employees with payroll related questions.
  • Liaison on Payroll matters with IRB, Tax agent and IRB offices, including supporting payroll audits by internal or external auditors.
  • Support the preparation of payroll reports for internal and/or external reporting on timely manner.
  • Ability to efficiently work toward and consistently meet deadlines.
  • Perform special projects, other ad-hoc duties, as needed.
  • Participate in system enhancements and upgrades in collaboration with financial systems team.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent
  • 3-5 years General Ledger Accounting & Payroll experience. Audit experience is advantage.
  • Good knowledge of Accounting Standards, internal controls and SOX compliance.
  • Excellent verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, problem solver, adaptive to fast-paced environment
  • Experience in Microsoft D365 (ERP system), HRMS/Workday and Blackline is an advantage.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams.
  • Skills in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
