About the Role

As a Manufacturing Technician you will be essential in our drive for innovation. You will collaborate closely with our engineering teams and external partners on our complex systems to ensure high standards for quality.

Responsibilities
  • Build, disassemble, and debug complex systems and subcomponents in-house and at CM partner locations
  • Inspect, measure, and evaluate incoming materials and components against specifications
  • Assemble prototype hardware and provide manufacturing feedback
  • Create and modify manufacturing documentation such as work instructions and inspection procedures
  • Identify, design, and procure manufacturing tooling, jigs, and fixtures for manufacturing processes
  • Provide feedback and data from builds and inspections to supply chain team for issue resolution and supplier improvement
  • Help troubleshoot colocation network infrastructure issues (routers, switches, servers, and storage arrays)
  • Support system installation and deployment in datacenters or field as needed
  • Provide feedback to Ops and Engineering teams on operational items unique to Cerebras System deployments
Requirements
  • 5+ years experience in a manufacturing environment and comfortable working in a clean room
  • Proficient with computers and programs such as MS Excel, Powerpoint, and Word
  • Experience using OMM/CMM equipment, microscopes, basic metrology tools, DMMs, and PCBA assembly/rework equipment
  • Hands-on individual who is very detail oriented and self-motivated
  • General knowledge of electronics, mechanical fundamentals, SMT processes, box build, and basic statistics
  • Familiar with IPC requirements
  • Familiar with fiber optics routing, maintenance, troubleshooting
