The role

We’re looking for a QA Engineer to join our team atAugmenta. You will be responsible for testing a unique, AI-based technology. In this role, you will be expanding our test suites by developing manual testcases and enhancing the reliability and consistency of our software throughautomated tests.

What you will do

  • Analyze new feature specifications to create test cases
  • Reproduce, isolate and confirm reported defects
  • Work with software developers and other stakeholders to prioritize issues
  • Design and develop test plans for core user workflows
  • Interact with the Scrum team to understand and plan for sprints
  • Write and execute complete testing plans
  • Evaluate results to ensure they meet customer requirements
  • Automate manual test cases

About you

  • Experience with Playwright, TypeScript, GraphQL
  • Exposure to gRPC, protobuf, and Golang
  • Experience with API automation (in Playwright or another framework) and manual testing (with tools such as Postman and Insomnia)
  • Exposure to automated Visual Regression Testing
  • Understanding of software engineering design principles and object-oriented programming
  • Experience with Jira and managing a Test Case Management (TCM) system (e.g., Xray)
  • Experience testing Desktop and web platform tools
  • Experience testing 3D graphical applications
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, able to work well in a cross-functional team environment
  • Excellent knowledge and experience in manual testing and testing best practices
  • Strong understanding of how to write detailed test cases
  • Familiarity with Agile software development

  • Hands-on experience with Revit and BIM
  • An understanding of MEP systems in construction

Our location

Our team is remote-first and fully distributed! We have team members across Canada, the US, Italy, and other locations around the world. This means that we often collaborate asynchronously via Slack and Video Conferencing.
